Batch processing and services for comparing external files with payment-control master tables. Additions, deletions and changes generated maintenance transactions subject to business approval under defined rules. Inputs included SWIFT BIC and bank holiday data, the SCL Directory for SEPA reachability, and US bank routing numbers from the Federal Reserve System.

Integrate expenses, charges, business transactions and posting codes into payment control, and provide data for SAP, accounting and settlement. The solution aggregated amounts and counts for advance-payment forecasts and settlement. A web application provided up-to-date ad hoc analysis of these data.

Design central payment control for recurring pensions and one-off payments abroad, and migrate legacy host control data to a client-server database architecture. The solution generated bank files in formats including SEPA PAIN, PAX and HBV Impay. Bitemporal control tables supported retrospective cancellations and corrected payments.

Extend the processing of new, changed and closed records for pension recipients abroad to include recurring and one-off payments. Integrate detailed payment transactions, input checks and recovery claims by recipient, item and overpaid amount. Migration of existing records also included calculating historical payment transactions.

Extend user management with tenant-specific access to data and functions, and delegate permission management to the respective tenant administrators. User management was migrated from Oracle Internet Directory to OpenLDAP.

Provide model-driven access to pension records for external partners, with tenant-specific permissions for data, document types and functions. Internal and external applications shared data access and most layout definitions. Specific presentation differences were added where needed; shared definitions kept both applications aligned across releases.

Model business calendars for payment and processing cycles whose periods differ from the standard calendar. Calendar types defined the structure and nesting of time spans and their associated dates. Defaulting and scheduling rules, together with web-based administration, supported maintenance.

Web application for recording complaints and enquiries associated with information provided by telephone or in writing. Reasons and categories could be administered. Continuous monitoring of unusual patterns supported the investigation of potential payment issues and subsequent communication with case handlers.

Revise the presentation and JavaScript of the pension-record enquiry application while retaining its model-driven approach. Additions included a copy function for search results defined in the model using regular expressions, and PDF print output with Altova StyleVision.

Connect document management with barcode matching and scan import to the pension-record enquiry application. Document types determined retention periods and other attributes; documents were stored asynchronously, first in the database and then in EMC Centera. The solution supported signatures, documents with or without a linked pension record, and a dedicated completeness check.

Model search functions, options and result lists for a web-based pension-record enquiry application using extended UML state diagrams. Layouts and the assignment of record data to data groups were described through models. DSL and OCL extensions in Together provided the basis for specifying this and other web applications.

Model-driven access to information on banks, successor banks, addresses, dates and communication channels. During the transition from national bank codes and account numbers to BIC and IBAN, information objects controlled the exchange of account information with the SEPA portal or directly with the bank, and monitored its processing.
