Cloud transformation in payments
Phased replacement of mainframe-based payment functions with cloud microservices.
Responsibilities & contribution
Responsibilities covered ABE, 3PP, UATP and AirPlus Intelligence during their respective assignment periods.
- Clarify technical requirements with stakeholders, translate them into user stories and agree the specifications with the teams.
- Address impediments, facilitate Scrum events and contribute to PI Planning.
- Support delivery and ongoing operations, manage incidents with ServiceNow and address security vulnerabilities continuously.
Results
- ABE, 3PP and UATP: Phased cloud migration completed; production mainframe operations within the described scope replaced by mid-2026.
- AirPlus Intelligence: Prototype completed and initial services enabled for selected customers; responsibility subsequently handed over.
ABE – AIDA Backend
Processing requests from CRM and the portal, passing them to downstream systems, and managing the status of virtual and physical cards.
3PP – Third Party Processing
Information exchange between AirPlus and external card and processing partners.
UATP
Phased replacement of mainframe-based communication with the UATP card system using microservices.
AirPlus Intelligence
New BI-based information services: capture existing functions, integrate data sources and develop additional offerings through to a prototype and initial customer enablement.

Web portal
Further development of a cloud-based web platform for herd management and farm processes.

Collaboration with distributed development teams, product management and pilot customers. The portal supported the planning and recording of animal-related activities, as well as data exchange with mobile applications and IoT systems.

Product Owner · Business Analyst
Mobile app for herd and farm management, with online and offline data capture and cloud synchronisation.
Analyse workflows, create mockups and specify requirements and REST interfaces. Support coordination with the external development team. When a connection was available, the app synchronised recorded animal data and actions with FarmNet.

Cloud Connect
Cloud and IoT platform for synchronising local equipment control with FarmNet cloud processes.
Analysis of requirements from existing systems and local equipment control, translated into epics and user stories. Structuring of the microservices implementation with the development team; support for test management and further development. A Windows client and an IoT cloud service connected local equipment control to FarmNet and synchronised measurements and animal-related activities.

BI reporting
BI and data analytics solution for preparing and analysing operational and performance data for customers and farms in the North American market.
Analyse competitors, studies, and market and customer requirements for farms in North America. Specify Power BI reports, user stories and test data, and coordinate architecture and delivery with the distributed team. The solution processed data on herd performance, health, milk yield and nutrition: from DairyBox via IoT Hub and Azure SQL to data preparation with Data Factory and report delivery.
